Day 19: Promethean Activotes

Tomorrow is the last day of the challenge!

Those cute little eggs.   We have sets of them, waiting for you to check out.   Ideal for doing quick, real-time assessments as you teach. You can also use them for pretests and posttests, formative assessment or even formal tests for credit (quicker grading!).
Promethean Overview:

Here is a link to a YouTube video featuring how to use Activotes.  It is approximately 9 minutes.  Our votes are already registered.  See Tami or Susan for help getting started!

ps: My computer wouldn't let me post anything under QR codes (comment wise)...but I wanted to share that QR codes have "officially" been added to the DC field trip. They are on the itinerary (given to parents ahead of time, chaperones while on the trip and printed in our booklets!)

  2. Love the idea of using these for quick formative assessments. You could literally make almost instant groups. If you have a tiered assignment created, you could quickly give a pretest and then assign the students the tier that they best match. See me if you are interested in some examples of tiered assignments!

  3. I have used the "eggs" may times for a quick review. It can be used for anything and I think it is easy to use in the classroom.
Kids think they are fun and they get to "play" with them.

  4. You can use the ActiVotes with Study Island! I know 5th Grade Science has used it for review.
