Challenge #3
SPOTLIGHT~ WebQuests
A webquest is an inquiry-oriented lesson format in which most or all the information that learners work with comes from the web.  There are many different ways to create a webquest, and many that are already created out on the web, ready for use.

Zunal is a tool that helps you create webquests.  Check out the webquest that our amazing AIG teacher, Amy, put together for her students:  http://zunal.com/webquest.php?w=180156
(Disclaimer from Amy:  It is a work in progress!)

Titled, "A Mystery in History," Amy's webquest incorporates a plethora of web 2.0 tools!  Check it out and be sure to give Amy your congratulations!

For more information on webquests, I like THIS webpage.

  1. Amy F. that is amazing awesome! It looks great. Is it difficult or very time consuming? I would love to incorporate more technology into the class for our 21 Century Learners, but I think the hardest thing is to find the time to make something.

  2. Thanks. It does take time to create one, but I try to think of it as "front loading" my time. I plan to use this for a couple of years. Next year I'll feel like I've gained some time. There are A LOT of great webquests out there that you can use that have been made by other teachers. The only problem is that you may have to tweak the evaluation (rubric) to fit our standards.
