Wallwisher is a Web 2.0 free online tool where anyone can build a “wall”. Discussing a new idea? Taking notes? Giving feedback? Voicing opinion? Wishing a happy birthday?
Your students can then go onto the internet and stick post-it notes electronically onto your wall. The notes can include linked pictures, You Tube videos, PowerPoints, PDF documents, Excel Spreadsheets, or web page links.
You might create one yourself, or get your students to contribute to one on their own time or in school. Additionally, you could embed your wall on your blog and make it accessible to your school community and parents.

Ideas for application in the classroom? I can't beat this blogger's list:
http://seanbanville.com/2010/06/26/wallwisher-105-classroom-ideas/ (Wow, 105 ideas!)
I was wondering how to use this. Then once I saw you had it posted, I was wondering if you could pre-approve stickies! You can. Now, I want to figure out how to embed it in my wiki!
ReplyDeleteThe list of 105 ideas is awesome. I haven't used this yet, but with a list like that it's hard to say, "I can't find a way to make it work!"

I've used this at the beginning of a unit to see what people already know. It can also be used for a group to take notes.
ReplyDeleteThis definitely has great possibilities. I like how user-friendly it is!

I like that this can be used on a "Blog" so that it isn't another thing that is separate. I think this could be used for kids to write notes on, expecially if it is a kind of book study and the kids want to write a comment or a question about a book the class or a group is reading.
