Technology Integration: Kerpoof is easy for early elementary students to use for online story publishing. It motivates reluctant writers by combining great images with text. The "poof" image tool lets students easily find images to add to their stories.

Ideas for Using Kerpoof in the Classroom
How have you used Kerpook in the classroom? Can you think of any "projects" you typically do without technology that you could use Kerpoof with instead?

I have not tried Kerpook yet. However it might be need if you did a non-fiction picture as a review or integration with other subject areas. This would also be a creative way for students to display their writing to classmates.
ReplyDeleteThis is really a cute idea. This could be great for any fiction stories or to make up a story as a class and each child could work with a partner to make up one page of it.

I have never heard of this, but this would be great to use to make up a story as a whole class.
ReplyDeleteI often provide Kerpoof as a choice for my students. Some of them really like it. I find it frustrating that you can't seem to mix the genres. For example, if you choose "Old West" all of the backgrounds, etc. are "Old West." (Maybe I'm just not doing it right!)
ReplyDeleteWow! How much fun is this! I am thinking of my boys in my class that would be very excited to publish their stories using this program!
ReplyDeleteLove it! It would be a great option for a project assignment instead of creating a paper poster.
ReplyDeleteSounds exciting! We are going to be writing mysteries in our classroom so this would be a fun way to do it!
ReplyDeleteI had seen it before, but had forgotten about it. I am always looking for different web 2.0 tools to use with different grade levels.
